The Senior Women’s National Football Championship for Rajmata Jijabai Trophy is the premier women's state competition in India. The first edition of the annual tournament was held in Manipur in 1992. All affiliated State Associations of the AIFF are eligible to participate in the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy, which is played on league-cum-knockout basis.
Manipur have been the most dominant side in the history of the Senior Women’s National Football Championship for Rajmata Jijabai Trophy, staggeringly winning 21 out of the 27 editions so far. West Bengal and Tamil Nadu have won two titles each, while Odisha and Railways have been champions once.
Tamil Nadu are the most recent champions, beating first-time finalists Haryana in the 2022-23 final in Ludhiana.
