Young winger Soumya Guguloth is known for her pace down the flanks and quality crossing. 2021 was her breakthrough year as she made her much-awaited debut for the senior team in the Turkish Women's Cup against Serbia in February 2021.

Soumya earnestly worked through the junior level teams, representing India at U-14, U-16 and U-19 levels. She scored three goals in the 2017 AFC U-16 Women's Championship qualifiers and also played for the U-19 team in the same year. She captained the Indian side in the 2018 BRICS U-17 Football Cup in South Africa. Soumya was also part of Gokulam Kerala's historic debut at the continental stage in the 2021 AFC Women's Club Championship.
