One of the youngest centre-forwards currently in the Indian National Team setup, Rahim Ali was born in 2000 and made his senior debut in 2021. A product of the Mohun Bagan youth system, he is expected to be one of the leading players for India going forward.
Perfectly capable of playing from the right or off the left of the midfield, Rahim Ali was part of the AIFF Elite Academy batch which was preparing for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Following the tournament, Ali joined the Hero I-League side Indian Arrows for the 2017-18 season, where he made his professional debut. Ali groomed himself at the Indian Arrows and joined ISL side Chennaiyin FC in 2019.
He caught the eye of coach India Men's Senior National Team coach Igor Stimac with his performances in the Hero ISL, which resulted in his debut for the Blue Tigers on 2nd September 2021 as a substitute in a friendly against Nepal.
