Hailing from Manipur, one of the footballing hotbeds in India, Suresh Singh Wangjam has established himself as one of the brightest prospects in Indian football and will be looking to build on an already impressive reputation.
An all-action midfielder who looks to cover every blade of grass on the pitch, Suresh was part of the AIFF Elite Academy batch that was preparing for the 2017 U-17 FIFA World Cup in India. Suresh first burst onto the scene with Indian Arrows in the I-League, where he played until 2019. A move to Bengaluru FC in the Hero ISL followed, and he has become one of the key members of the team since then.
Suresh made his international debut against Oman on 25th March 2021, and later in the same year was awarded the AIFF Emerging Player of the Year award. The nation will be expecting big things to come from the talented youngster.
