Narender started his football journey at a very young age as his uncle, who represented Delhi cricket team in the national stage, continued to inspire him to pursue sports as a serious career option. The AIFF Elite Academy cadet was part of the U-17 squad initially who went on to represent the country in the first-ever FIFA World Cup hosted by India before an injury dented his dream. Later, he played for Indian Arrows and went on to make his debut for the senior team. The talented centre-back scored his maiden goal for the Blue Tigers against Syria in the Hero Intercontinental Cup 2019.
