Defender Linthoingambi debuted for the senior national team in the 6-0 win over Sri Lanka at the 2019 South Asian Games en route to India's gold medal. She is known for her rapid pace, quick thinking and excellent ball-playing ability.

Linthoingambi has been a regular feature in the Indian team since 2021 and toured Turkey and Uzbekistan in the spring. Although India lost 1-0 to the Uzbeks, she was impressive in the backline. Linthoingambi was also part of the Indian team which competed in the International Women's Football Tournament held in Manaus, Brazil in late 2021.
