Born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, Kamaljit Singh, a former AIFF Elite Academy cadet, has quickly emerged as one of the country's top goalkeepers. He started his career with Sporting Clube de Goa, where he made his professional debut. He has represented India at the age-group level and was part of the India U23 side that took part in the Asian Games 2014. Kamaljit is yet to make his senior India debut but has been a regular feature in the Blue Tigers' squad since the arrival of head coach Igor Stimac.
