NEW DELHI: India U-14 Girls National Team made merry against Bhutan in an emphatic 9-0 victory in the 2014 AFC Girls Regional Championship for South and Central Asia at the Baddegana Football Training Centre in Colombo on Monday (March 24, 2014).

Midfielder Sirjana Tamang notched up four goals (50, 56, 66, 69) in the second half and Roja Devi (21, 57, 62) and Lifa Gama (25, 35+1) netted a brace apiece either side of halftime to underline India’s dominance in what was an utterly lopsided encounter from the word go.

Daya Devi (31) also got on the scoresheet for the inaugural champions.

The win takes India to nine points from four outings with the girls in blue moving to the second position over Iran who lost 0-4 to table toppers Nepal.

India play Iran next on Tuesday (March 25, 2014).
