Job Purpose:

The Integrity Officer will play a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity of Indian football. This position will be responsible for implementing and overseeing a robust integrity framework, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Integrity Framework Development, Implementation and revision:
    • Implement and revise a comprehensive integrity framework, including policies, procedures, and guidelines to address match-fixing, corruption, doping, and other integrity-related issues.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including clubs, players, officials, and law enforcement agencies, to promote integrity and fair play.
  2. Investigations and Reporting:
    • Conduct thorough investigations into allegations of match-fixing, corruption, doping, or other integrity violations.
    • Collect and analyze evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare detailed investigation reports.
    • Coordinate with legal and regulatory authorities as necessary to pursue legal action against individuals or entities involved in misconduct.
    • Prepare regular reports on integrity-related activities and risks.
    • Investigate and report eligibility fraud.
  3. Education and Awareness:
    • Develop and deliver integrity education and awareness programs for players, coaches, officials, and other stakeholders.
    • Promote a culture of integrity and fair play within the Indian football ecosystem.
    • Provide guidance and support to individuals and organizations on integrity-related matters.
  4. International Cooperation:
    • Collaborate with international organizations, such as FIFA and the AFC, to share information, best practices, and coordinate investigations.
    • Stay updated on international trends and developments in integrity and anti-corruption measures.
  5. Monitoring and Compliance:
    • Monitor compliance with the integrity framework and relevant regulations.
    • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and address any compliance gaps.
    • Implement and revise effective monitoring and reporting systems to track potential risks and suspicious activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Retired IPS officers will be given preference.
  • Law degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of sports law, particularly football regulations.
  • Proven experience in investigations, compliance, or risk management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independentlyand as part of a team.
  • Strong ethical principles and commitment to fair play.

Additional Skills and Qualities:

  • Knowledge of Indian football ecosystem.
  • Experience in conducting complex investigations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
