Position Summary: 

The Finance Head at the All India Football Federation will be responsible for overseeing all financial  aspects of the organization, ensuring sound financial management and compliance with regulatory  requirements. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and leadership skills to  support the organization's mission of promoting and developing football across India. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Financial Planning and Analysis: 

• Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the organization's  goals and objectives. 

• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to provide insights and recommendations  to senior management for decision-making. 

• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and  implementing corrective actions as necessary. 

Financial Reporting and Compliance: 

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial  statements, for internal and external stakeholders. 

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other statutory  requirements applicable to the organization. 

• Coordinate with internal/external auditors, consultants and regulatory authorities to facilitate  audits and filings. 

Budgeting and Cost Management: 

• Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic  budgets aligned with strategic priorities. 

• Monitor and control expenses, analyzing cost drivers and identifying opportunities for cost  optimization and efficiency improvements. 

• Implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard the organization's assets and mitigate  financial risks. 

Cash Flow Management and Treasury: 

• Manage the organization's cash flow, liquidity, and investments to optimize returns while  maintaining adequate liquidity for operational needs. 

• Develop cash flow forecasts and projections to support short-term and long-term financial  planning. 

• Monitor banking relationships and negotiate favorable terms for banking services and facilities.

Financial Strategy and Business Development:

• Provide financial leadership and strategic guidance to support the organization's growth and  expansion initiatives. 

• Evaluate investment opportunities, partnerships, and revenue-generating activities to enhance  the organization's financial sustainability. 

• Collaborate with other departments to develop financial models and business cases for new  projects and initiatives. 

Qualifications and Experience: 

*MBA degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA) preferred. 

*Demonstrated proficiency in financial management, requiring a minimum of 8 years of experience,  ideally in a mid to senior-level leadership capacity within either the sports industry or a corporate  sector. 

*In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and financial reporting  standards. 

*Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills. 

*Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 

*Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and multicultural environment. 

*Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite. 

The Finance Head will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the All  India Football Federation, driving strategic financial planning, and providing leadership in financial  management and governance.
