Background:
India will host the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 from 20th January to 06th February 2022. It will be the second time in 42 years, the country hosts this event from the continental football governing body. This is the most important event of the AFC Women’s Competitions Calendar, with 12 countries playing 25 games across 3 venues. Representing the nation in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup has been an important achievement and milestone in the careers of Asian football stars and will be one of the most important events to be hosted in Indian football history.
The AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 will have a lasting influence in Indian Football, upgrading the infrastructure, setting up proper game operations standards and improving the overall quality of the game. Undoubtedly, the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 is primed to be a game changer for Indian Football.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the CMO to deliver medical services for all the stakeholder groups of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 especially teams an VIPs
- Coordinate and assist the CMO to manage relationships with the relevant government authorities for all medical matters.
- Assist the CMO to manage relationships with all the medical facilities in various host cities of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022.
- Follow up and coordinate with the medical and paramedic services during the tournament.
- Assist the CMO and LOC Doping Control Officer to coordinate with respective anti-doping agencies and AFC medical department to deliver the anti-doping program for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022.
- Liaise and follow up with AFC medical department to ensure all AFC medical guidelines are respected through the tournament.
- Provide administrative support for all medical matters, including maintaining all relevant documentation, records, etc.
- Assist in any other medical matters for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022, as directed by the CMO.
- Supervise in Bio-bubble SOP protocol of the tournament.
- Ensure all phlebotomist are in their respective venues for testing in time.
- Coordinate with the assigned supervisor from the testing agency for regular tests as per the testing schedule
- Ensure all reports are received in time and positive cases managed with proper attention.
Personnel in Charge:
Will be agreed by the Tournament and Projects Directors and the Head of Competitions once this hiring process ends and there is a definite plan for this area.
Key Performance Indicators:
Will be communicated in due time in accordance with the goals established between FIFA and the LOC for the World Cup. The indicators will be calculated on the basis of the completion of all matters related with Medical and Anti-Doping Services, AFC´s satisfaction with Medical and Anti-Doping Services and to ensure requirements met on a timely manner.
Candidate Profile:
- Two (2) years’ experience in administration and coordination of medical services. No applications will be considered if this requirement is not met;
- Prior work experience in Bio bubble management and following and implementing covid-19 protocols.
- Experience in administration and coordination with hospitals, government agencies for international sports tournaments or leagues especially in football;
- Demonstrated stakeholder relationship management and prior experience working with sporting delegations;
- Ability to multitask, strong time management and organizational skills;
- Ability to solve problems, negotiations and conflict resolutions;
- Must demonstrate a flexible, “hands-on” approach to work – prepared to carry out duties in support of his/ her team at any time of the day;
- Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in different roles, and be able to present a highly professional image, and command the respect of others;
- Ability to multitask, strong time management and organizational skills;
- High Level knowledge of Microsoft Office Platform, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
