NEW DELHI: Seventy eight children and twenty officials participated in the 5th AIFF Grassroots Festival conducted by the AIFF Regional Academy at the Fr. Agnel’s Ground, Navi Mumbai. 

Despite steady showers playing spoil-sport in the build up to the Festival, it did not dampen the spirits of the tiny-tots as they braved the elements to play the beautiful game.

The children - aged six to eight- were divided into eight teams and guided through a series of six activity grids, with three of them featuring ‘5 v 5’ matches and three focusing on technical ability using fun-based drills.

Once again, parent volunteers were involved as festival officials alongside players of the Fr. Agnel's college football teams. 

The next festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th 2013.
