AIFF Media Team

NEW DELHI: Bal Bharti Public School, Pusa Road (New-Delhi) organised a Girls Grassroots Festival on the 17th September 2016, with the assistance of AIFF. 

The Event witnessed participation of 95 kids along with their parents and teachers. Our Grassroots Leader Ms Shiva Mathur (Physical Education teacher of the school) led the event with the support of 10 Grassroots/D Licence Coaches. The festival encompassed 10 grids in total, 5 involving fun games and the other 5 had a Small Sided Game(SSG).

It was a remarkable site to see parents getting involved as coaches, participants, supporters and as a  motivator. They were there throughout the event to encourage their kids to play. The kids were dynamic and energetic to play football and went back home with a spirit to return to the field to play again.

The current National Team players Ms Anushka Samuel (U-16 , U-19 [probable] ) and Ms Dalima Chhibber ( Senior India Team) were there to motivate and influence the kids to play the sport.
