MC and Referee Assessor's Course successfully ends in Aizawl

NEW DELHI: The Match Commissioner and Referee Assessor’s Course organised by the Mizoram Football Association successfully ended in Aizawl. The Course, a first such initiative by any State Association had kicked-off on August 5 and was organised on the sidelines of ongoing Independence Cup.

Eleven Course Participants experienced first-hand exposure through Classroom Sessions, Group Discussions and on-the-job training under Col. Goutam Kar, Head of Refereeing Dept, All India Football Federation. Kar is himself a FIFA and AFC Match Commissioner.

Lalnghinglova Hmar, Honorary Secretary, Mizoram Football Association said: “The Course Participants thoroughly enjoyed each and every session. This will go long way in development of Football including Match Operations in the Mizoram Premier League and other events.”

The Course also came in for huge praise from the Participants. “We are into a new World now. We never knew that there are so many angles of Match Organisation which needs attention. Only a trained person can do it. We have already implemented some of the must-do in last two days. We are sure to deliver better match operations in future,” Francis, a Participant said.

Laldika, another Course Participant maintained that Referees will benefit a lot” from the Course.

“We understand the need for proper Referee Assessment for growth of our Match Officials. Our Referees will eventually benefit in coming days. We thank AIFF for such a Course,” Laldika pronounced.
