NEW DELHI: The Indian National Women’s Team went down 1-3 to Shiv Nadar University Football Team in a Friendly match at the Shiv Nadar University, Dadri, Uttar Pradesh.

Newly appointed coach Sajid Dar opted to exclude Oniam Bembem Devi and Bala Devi out of the Starting XI and started with a relatively young squad.

The National Team piled pressure on the hosts right from the kick-off. The Indian eves dominated possession and created glit-edged chances, especially through the left flank. But much against the run of play, Shiv Nadar Univeristy Football Team scored in the 30th minute through a counter attack.

The Halftime score remained 1-0 in favour of the University Football Team.

Within minutes of the second half, Shiv Nadar University doubled their lead.

The Indian Women, however, reduced the margin in the 57th minute as Dangmei Grace scored a sublime goal following some quick interchanges.

In an attempt to seal an equalizer the Women committed bodies forward. And once again, against the run of play, taking advantage of diminishing numbers in the defensive half, Shiv Nadar University Football Team scored their third goal of the match.
