NEW DELHI: The India U-14 Women’s National Team were held to a 1-1 draw by Bangladesh in their second encounter of AFC U-14 Regional Tournament, on Tuesday (April 21, 2015) at Kathmandu, Nepal. With this draw, the Indian eves also qualify for the Semi-finals of AFC U-14 Regional Tournament.
Bangladesh opened the scoring in the 20th minute of the Match. However five minutes later Captain Soni Kumari showcased her acumen as she blasted one right past the Bangladeshi Goalkeeper and brought India to level terms.
At Half-time both Teams entwined in a stalemate as the scoreline read 1-1.
The Indian eves, in an attempt to foster a victory, refreshed things up. And Karishma Rai, who had scored four Goals against Bhutan, was introduced in place of Soumya Guguloth.
Nevertheless, as fortune had it the Indian eves seldom found an opening as the Bangladeshi defence thwarted their attempts.
The Full-time scoreline read 1-1 as both Teams shared the spoils of battle.
