AIZAWL: Aizawl FC and DSK Shivajians will fight tomorrow in their first ever Hero I-League clash between them. The debutants will try their best to win tomorrow to prove their mettle in Hero I-League. Significantly, neither of them have scored in the ongoing Hero I-League and will be fighting to get their first goal tomorrow.
In the press conference held at Aizawl, DSK Shivajians FC Head Coach Derrick Pereira says,”We will have to keep the possession and create opportunities.”We’ll surely give a tough fight to them”, he further added,”I saw them playing against Mohun Bagan and heard about their match against Begaluru FC.” He also said that his team will have to work in every department.
Zohmingliana Ralte, DSK’s defender, who also appeared at the press conference looks forward to the match,”Aizawl FC is a good team. We will try ou best to win.”
Manuel Retamero Fraile, upon being questioned, recalls their previous match with Bengaluru FC and admits that they made several mistakes for which players can not to be blamed. However, he asserts, “If we play like we played in the last match, we can register our first win in Hero I-League.” Having lost in their last two matches, he says, “We need to win all three points tomorrow and start thinking about the next match.”
Aizawl FC striker Valpuia, who was awareded ‘Best Player’ in the recently concluded Mizoram Premier League, is thrilled to be starting tomorrow. The highest scorer of the Mizoram Premier League says, “Definitely Hero I-League is very much different from MPL. Mizoram Premier League was not that much demanding in comparison with Hero I-League, opponents are mightier and contests will be tougher. Personally, I shall try my level best to score my first Hero I-League goal tomorrow.”
