NEW DELHI: Goa and Tamil Nadu won their respective matches in Group B to seal a berth in the semifinal of the National Football Championships for the 70^th Santosh Trophy.

Goa finished their League engagements on 10 points when they defeated Punjab by a solitary goal at the SEC Railway Stadium in Nagpur on Monday (March 7). Francis Fernandes made the difference between the two Teams in the 18^th minute.

In another clash, Tamil Nadu continued their unbeaten streak when they beat West Bengal by the same margin at the University ground. After a barren first half, Soosai Raj struck for Tamil Nadu in the 51^st minute.

Tamil Nadu now stay on 7 points from three points with another match left.

Both Punjab and West Bengal stay on 3 points each from 3 matches and have already bowed out of the Championship. Assam, the other Team in the Group are yet to open their account.
