NEW DELHI: Goa were held to a goalless stalemate by an inspired Tamil Nadu side, while Punjab defeated Assam 2-0 in the Group B fixtures of the 70^th edition of the Santosh Trophy which were held today (March 05, 2016) in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Strikes from Vijay Kumar in the 11^th minute and Pawan Tiwari in the 76^th minute proved enough for Punjab as they breezed past Assam, as the full-time scoreline read 2-0.

The Group A slated for tomorrow (March 05, 2016) see Maharashtra face Services and Jammu and Kashmir take on Railways.
