NEW DELHI: The first ever Grassroots Course programme was inaugurated at the OCA Conference Hall, Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.

Mr. Bijoy Das (Vice President - FAO) was present as the chief Guest. Mr. Bhakta Ballav Das (Vice President- FAO), Mr.Avijit Paul(Jt. Secretary- FAO) and  other dignitaries were also present during the inaugural ceremony.

A total 27 participants participated in the aforementioned course. 

AIFF Grassroots Instructor Ms Anju Turambekar was the Course Instructor.

A Grassroots Festival was organised in which more than 120 kids participated and also Odisha women’s team and Odisha Santosh Trophy boys team along with their coaches who witnessed the last day programme and closing ceremony.

Mr. Sanjay Behera (Hon'y Secretary- FAO) opined that very soon the FA Odisha is going to open at least six Grassroots centres.

Mr Sanjay Behera also thanked the All India Football Federation for this novel attempt for the grassroots development in our country and for providing best knowledge to the coaches.
