NEW DELHI: Keeping in tune with the philosophy to develop Women’s Football, the All India Football Federation organized FIFA/MA Women Referees Course kicked-off on Saturday (September 12, 2015) in New Delhi.
32 Women Referees from all across the country are currently participating in the Course which aims to evolve their refereeing skillset and concludes on September 16, 2015.
“The FIFA/MA Women Referees Course gives a comprehensive idea of what is expected at the top level of the Refereeing World. It also educates the referees in numerous technical details of the game”, told Krystyna Szokolai from Australia, the Instructor for the abovementioned Course, to www.the-aiff.com
“The participants are all eager to lean their trade and there is a spirit of togetherness in them which is rare to find”
When inquired about the modus operandi for a young Referee to become a top Referee, Krystyna stressed on, “Passion is the key”.
“The pursuit for excellence and the desire to do well when fused with passion for the game, takes a budding referee a long way in the Refereeing World”, she quipped.
Furthermore, Maria Robello, the first woman Referee to officiate in an I-League game, who is also one of the participants, informed that “Courses such as these help you evolve as a Referee”
