NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation is delighted to announce that the AFC Coach Education Panel has approved India’s application for membership at the Pro Level of the AFC Coaching Convention.
The membership at the Pro Level will allow the AIFF the right to organise AFC C, B, A, and Pro Diploma courses and to issue the corresponding AFC diplomas and licenses in accordance with the terms of the AFC Coaching Convention.
A team of AFC officials, including Mr. Wim Koevermans, AFC Principal Coaching Consultant, and Mr. Jose Ariston Padre Caslib, AFC Coach Education Panel Member visited India in October during Module 3 of the ongoing AFC Pro Diploma course in Bhubaneswar for assessment.
AIFF Head of Coach Education Savio Medeira said, “Getting this approval from AFC shows that Coach Education in India is on the right path. AFC had also sent their representatives to assess our work in Coach Education, and they have sent us a few suggestions as well, which we will be working on. It’s great that we can now work on our own in the Coach Education sector.”
