NEW DELHI: The second edition of the AIFF International Virtual Coaching Conference got underway on Friday, December 3, 2021 for coaches possessing AFC Pro, A, B and C diplomas. As part of the ongoing coaching license re-validation process, the coaches in attendance will be awarded 4 CPD points.

AIFF’s Head of Coach Education and Interim Technical Director Savio Medeira gave the inaugural address, praising the work done by the AIFF in organising refresher courses for the AFC C License, Goalkeeping Coach Education and even futsal.

“I would like to thank Mr. Kushal Das, General Secretary for his continuous support for all our initiatives, Ms. Swati Kothari, Chief Operating Officer, for guidance and support for coach education, and Mr. Chirag Tanna,General Manager, FSDL, for always being there whenever we need him,” he said.

The conference will feature eminent speakers like Andy Parslow,Set-piece Coach, AFC Wimbledon, Dawn Scott, Inter Miami, Manolo Marquez, Head Coach, Hyderabad FC, Owen Coyle, Head Coach, Jamshedpur FC, Andy Martino,Head of Academy Development, Southampton FC and renowned throw-in coach Thomas Grønnemark amongst others.

“The variety of speakers we have will cover topics in modern sport like leadership, psychology, scouting, women’s football and so on,” said Medeira. 

“We hope it can expand the mental horizons and upgrade the coaches’ knowledge", he concluded.
