NEW DELHI: The AFC Pro-Diploma Course module at Japan concluded on May 20, 2014 as the participants finished with their assessments for the module.

The assessments consisted of match analysis of the game observed by the participants at the IAI Nihondaira stadium between Vissel Kobe and Shimizu S-Pulse. The course concluded with Wim Koevermans, the instructor thanking JFA for hosting the AIFF officials and participants for the foreign module of the course.

Koeevrmans said, “I’d like to thank JFA for their immense effort to have given us the opportunity to conduct the 3rd module of the AFC Pro-Diploma course here in Japan. The openness of the clubs that we visited was breathtaking and helped the participants a lot to raise their own standards.”

Scott O’Donell, Technical Director Academies and Director of Coach Education apart from being a participant in the Course added, “The overseas attachment was an excellent opportunity for our coaches to see how professional clubs in Japan are run.

“The Clubs were extremely open in sharing their philosophy’s and structures, which allowed our coaches to then compare with the situation in India. Obviously we have a long way to go but at least we know what direction we should be heading. The excellent cooperation and support by JFA helped make the course a very successful one.”

 

The team reached Tokyo and met the officials of JFA that included Mr. Takashi Matsunaga, Associate Director of International Relations, Japan Football Association with whose help the course module was successfully conducted. Mr. Matsunaga said,”

AIFF are the second Federation after Singapore who have done their Pro-Diploma foreign attachment module at Japan and JFA were very pleased to play host.”

The team moved to Tokyo from where they headed home to resume their regular duties in their respective clubs and associations in India.
