NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation in association with all stakeholders involved including the State Football Associations has constructed a detailed plan to extend the outreach of Grassroots Football, whilst letting Football develop.

The state of Kerala is no alien to the AIFF Grassroots philosophy in tune with the AFC Grassroots philosophy and to harness the Grassroots in Kerala, the Kerala Football Association has conducted three Grassroots Festivals and three Grassroots Courses. Through these Courses, 83 Grassroots Leaders have been trained in accordance with AIFF’s Grassroots philosophy.

Not only that, the Kerala Football Association has also launched Academy Leagues for U-10 and U-12 age groups, in an attempt to provide young Players with competitive environment. Each Player in the U-10 age group gets 48 matches and in the U-12 age group gets 128 matches under his belt. 422 Players participated in the U-10 league and 1123 players participated in the U12 league.
