NEW DELHI: As part of implementing an efficient scouting network aimed to scan the demography of India in terms of Footballing talent, the Indian U-17 National Team under Head Coach Nicolai Adam will play its first exhibition match against a combined Maharashtra XI tomorrow (December 21,2015) at the Cooperage Ground in Mumbai.

Thereafter, Nicolai’s squad will be clashing swords against a combined IFA XI on January 25, 2016 and against a combined North East XI in the last week of January. Thus acting as a value addition to the already ongoing second phase of scouting which is being conducted by the AIFF in association with its Member Associations.

“We appreciate the efforts of the State Associations to find the best Players to represent the U-17 Indian National Team in the World Cup. To make it foolproof, we decided to play these matches. If any outstanding Player catches our eye, we will immediately send him for Medical Tests and rope him into the squad,” Abhishek Yadav, AIFF’s Director of Scouting had told www.the-aiff.com earlier.

“We are specifically looking for 2000 born kids to play these exhibition matches and also for the second phase of scouting,” he had stated.
