Although the Indian Colts fought for every inch on the ground, it were their German opponents who dominated possession and in the 13th minute punished the Indian defence as they scored from a counter attack to equalize their deficit.
In the 37th minute, the Indian Colts took the lead for the second time in the match when Aniket poked a routine corner kick scenario home, as India went into the tunnel leading 2-1 at the half-time.

The Indian Colts sealed the match in the 73rd minute when Sanjeev free-kick directly crashed into the back of the net to give the Colts a two goal advantage as the scoreline read 3-1 in their favour.
