NEW DELHI: All India Football Federation U-14 Regional Academy based in Goa played out a goalless draw versus SESA U-16 Academy Boys and mauled Assonora United ,Bicholim in two back to back friendlies in two days.
While Team A failed to eke out a result against their SESA counterparts despite a barrage of attacks, their B compatriots made up for it by netting five times past Assonora United.
A first-half brace from Komal Thatal and goals from Dingku Sharma, Boris Singh, and substitute Hrishi Dhath propelled the FIFA U-17 World Cup bound colts to another handsome victory.
Both the teams started their campaign very cautiously, with academy boys having the upper hand and dominated the proceedings, the boys in Blue played some very good possession football which helped them to take an early lead in the 8th Minute ,when left winger Komal cross from the left flank to the onrushing right winger Dingku who made no mistake in putting his team a head after a very good start.
Onto the 24th Minute of the match, and in form striker Boris Singh let loose a powerful right footer, which was blocked by the opponent goalkeeper but Komal who assisted in the previous goal , cashed in on the rebound and doubled the lead for his team before the break.
Post the breather, the colts in blue continued their dominance, which helped them disturb the score board again, Komal combining with Boris inside the box, to put it past the goalkeeper in the 54th minute.
Twelve minutes later right full back Amartya Basu who came in has a substitute in place Gaston D silva, lofted in a delightful cross from the right to striker Boris, who made no mistake in slamming past the keeper.
Defensive Midfielder Hrishi Dhath completed the formality for the Regional Academy in the 65th when he slammed in a powerful right from outside 18 yard box which pierced into the Goal, giving a very comfortable win for Goa Academy boys.
