BHUBANESWAR: In their next Hero Indian Women’s League 2022 challenge, SSB Women FC and Mata Rukmani face each other at the Capital Ground in Bhubaneswar, on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
SSB Women faced defeat against defending champions Gokulam Kerala in the previous fixture and will be looking to bounce back against Mata Rukmani. When asked if the side can grab the three points against their opponents from Chhattisgarh, Head Coach Juliet Miranda answered, “All the matches are crucial for us. We can't underestimate any opponent. We have to go with a positive mind-set. Our opponents are equally good and they will try to give us a good fight, but we will try to take the three points.”
With a fully fit squad at her disposal, Miranda also spoke about the team’s preparations tactically. “We have analysed our mistakes from the last match & rectified them individually and as a team.”
Meanwhile, Mata Rukmani are yet to find a win in Hero IWL and will be looking to make amends in the upcoming fixture. Head Coach Sandeep Singh delivered his thoughts on the previous results and how the team has prepared for the next round of fixtures. “We have not had favourable results in the last two games, but it's important to not get affected by it and keep the morale high.”
He added: “Our performance in the last game was much better and we will give a better account of ourselves in the next game.
Furthermore, Singh cited concerns about injuries to some of the team members, but expressed confidence in the other players, urging them to give a fight.
