NEW DELHI: All India Football Federation’s U-19 Elite Academy Boys played out a goalless draw with SESA Goa at the SESA Goa Academy Ground in Tivim.
The Academy Boys, who form the core of the India U-19 National Team, created a host of chances but were denied by some resolute defending from their counterparts coupled with fluffing a few gilt edged chances.
The highlight of the match though was Former Indian junior International Shilton Da Silva – out with a spate of injuries for quite a long time -- played the final 15 minutes of the match.
Shilton has been rehabilitating with the Academy medical team for the past 10 months. Shilton had incurred two serious leg injuries while playing for the Arrows and had been out of the game since October 2011.
