NEW DELHI: The Salgaocar U-16 Team eked out a 1-1 draw against All India Football Federation’s U-13 Regional Academy boys in Goa at the Cansaulim Ground.

The Colts were coming off a 5-0 victory over Our Lady of Perpetual High School, Cortalim in their previous outing.

Abhijit Sarkar scored the opening goal of the match in the 13^th minute when he turned in a Ninthoinganba cross from the right.

Clement equalized Salgaocar in the 25^th minute.

In the 40th Minute , Hrishi Dhath could have doubled it for Goa Academy when his free kick from just outside the area hit the crosspiece.

“Our boys showed great character. Their attitude was positive and they played without any fear, which is very important especially when you are facing boys older to you,” Head Coach Narayana Menon said.
