The newly launched Academy Accreditation process for 2015/16 was carried out from October, 2015 till February, 2016. A total of 60 footballing entities including clubs, stand-alone academies, schools and youth training centres applied for the same. The applicants were classified on the basis of whether they are residential or non-residential. Out of all the submissions made, thirteen academies received a 1-star and four received a 2-star rating.
Following are the rated academies:
1-star: IYSA, Conscient Football School, Baichung Bhutia Football School, SPT Academy, Sudeva, Boca Juniors Soccer School, Neroca FC, PIFA, Ozone Football Academy, Steadfast Rush, Kovalam FC, Youngsters FC and Mahogany FC.
2-star: United Sports Club, TATA Football Academy, DSK Shivajians and Rangdajied.
The academies were assessed on the basis of the following criteria:
1. Organizational Hierarchy
2. Coaches, Medical and administrative staff with their qualification, experience and contracts including their job description.
3. Age-group teams with player details
4. Facilities and infrastructure
5. Curriculum and Training Program
6. Competitions/Matches
7. Scouting
8. Grassroots Program
9. Schooling (If Resdential)
10. Medical Provisions.
