NEW DELHI: Striker Anandu Murli’S stellar performance helped AIFF Navi Mumbai Regional Academy breeze past a hapless Dena Bank 6-0 in a Friendly Match played at Vashi in Navi Mumbai.

The tone was set early on as Kapil Boro’s through ball breached the weak defence line and Rakesh Oram then weaved his way into box to place the ball into the bottom corner of the net.

Moinuddin then played a nice one-two with Milan Basumatary and motored forward only to slam a shot into the top corner.

It was 2-0 in favour of the Academy Boys at halftime.

The script did not change post the breather as the U-15 Boys went back to attack-mode with substitute Anandu Murli scoring a brace minutes after coming on.

Bidyananda Singh finally and deservedly got on the score sheet in the 70th minute when Dena bank’s defender brought him down while looking to get on the end of another defender’s header.

Delbert Fernandez’s through ball caught out the centre back and found Milan Basumatary whose squared ball from left was directed home by Stany Braganza.
