Mohammedan Sporting meet their match in Goal Hunterz

NEW DELHI: Minerva FC Academy were in roaring form in the Hero Futsal Club Championship at the KD Jadhav Sports Complex on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. They hammered a hapless BPSS FC 13-4 in Group B to take their points tally to nine from the four matches they have played so far.      

Nikhil Mali 4, Sandesh Malpote 3, Jayesh Sutar 2, Rohit Haresh Mulchandani, Thingnam Radhakanta Singh, Clinton Rozario Dsouza and Rugved Ajay Yeole were the scorers for the winners, Nanda Kumar D, Surya UK 2, Tony Louis Robert and Arvind Kumar (OG) were the marksmen for BPSS.

While the Minerva-BPSS tie was a hopelessly one-sided affair, Group B leaders Mohammedan Sporting found the going tough and were held to a 6-6 draw by Goal Hunterz FC.  Shamsad Ali 2, Suvo Khatoora, Sandeep Oraw, Amit Shaw (P) and Savan Shamrao Lotlikar scored for the Kolkata side, who now have 10 points from four matches. Rajnish Rana 3, Nischay Adhikari 2 and Bijoy Gusai found their way into the list of goalscorers for Goal Hunterz. 

In another Group B match, Juggernaut FC, Ahmedabad 4 (Aman Shah 2, Harshal Walawalkar and Dishu Singh) defeated Aphuyemi Football Club 3 (Suraj Bhairat, Ranveer Gaikwad, Vinayak Shetty).

In Group A, Delhi Football Club’s juggernaut could not be stopped as they outclassed Electric Veng Football Club 11-4 with Chanpreet Singh 2, Gwgwmsar Gayary 2, Isac Zomuanpuia 2, Jojo Zaihmingthanga, K Roluahpuia and George MS Dawnglina scoring for them. Electric Veng Football Club’s goals came from Jonathan Lalrawngbawla 3 (OG) and Lalhlimpuia.

Bengaluru Football Club 4 (Clarence Savio, Vinith Venkatesh, Rajanbir Singh and Lalgmingchhuanga F) beat Techtro Swades United FC 2 (Priyanshu and Harsh Vardhan) in another Group A outing.
