NEW DELHI: Maharashtra defeated Mizoram 1-0 while Railways succumbed to a 1-2 loss against Services in the Group A fixtures of the 70^th edition of the Santosh Trophy which were held today (March 04, 2016) in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Vivek Kumar’s goal in the 69^th minute for Services proved to be the winner in the clash against Railways, after Vibin TV opened the scoring for Services in the 14^th minute and Jagtar Singh pulled one back in the 54^th minute.

Meanwhile, after a cagey goalless stalemate at half-time, Maharashtra surged into lead in the 66^th minute courtesy of a Shahbaz Pathan strike as the full-time scoreline read 1-0 in favour of Maharashtra.

The Group B fixtures slated for tomorrow see Tamil Nadu face Goa and Assam take on West Bengal.
