NEW DELHI: The AIFF Elite Academy narrowly edged past Sporting Clube de Goa 2-0 in a U-19 I-League engagement at Cuncolim ground, on Tuesday.

Elite Academy Boys led 1-0 at the break.

In the 14^th minute AIFF Boys surged ahead after the ball was relayed from the left flank for Kamalpreet Singh who had quietly made his way to the back post to head the ball into the far corner.

After resumption, Robinson Singh who had earlier rattled the cross bar doubled AIFF’s lead with an unstoppable volley from outside the box.

Sporting Goa had their chances to come back into the game, but AIFF custodian managed to smother the danger. The best chance fell to Mauvin Borges whose volley was palmed away to safety.
