MANDALAY (MYANMAR): Admist hot, humid and somewhat sweltering weather conditions, the Indian Women’s Senior National Team arrived at the Mandalay International Airport, Myanmar on Monday (March 9, 2015) for the Women's Olympic Qualifiers Round 1.

The Indian eves have arrived five days prior to their opening encounter against Sri Lanka which is slated to kick off on March 13, 2015, before clashing swords with hosts Myanmar on March 15, 2015.

The All Indian Football Federation sent the team days pre-mature as to help the eves to adjust with the weather of a foreign land AND to acquaint them with foreign pitches.

Head Coach Sajid Dar contended this step by the AIFF and expressed: “I am very pleased with the number of days at hand; it will provide us time to adjust to the weather conditions."

The Indian eves start their training from tomorrow (March 10, 2015).

The 20-member contingent was all focussed and as one of its Senior Players, Oinam Bembem Devi puts it: “We are dying to prove our self. This is our time and we hope to do justice to our preparation.”
