NEW DELHI: The India U16 National Team, coached by Shuvendu Panda, lost 1-5 to AMD U17 side in their first match of the exposure trip to Malaysia at AMD, Gambang today (August 29, 2019).
AMD boys started putting pressure from the get-go and breached the Indian defence in the 22nd minute to go ahead. After the changeover, the hosts scored in quick successions to take a four-goal lead within the hour-mark.
Vishva scored India's only goal of the game in the second half, as the attacker headed a cross from Harsh home.
AMD U-17 team scored another in the 76th minute and maintained the 5-1 lead until the final whistle.
These two sides will face-off again at the same venue on Saturday (August 31, 2019).
