NEW DELHI: All India Football Federation’s U-19 Elite Academy Boys continued their good form with a clinical 4-1 win over Sporting Clube de Goa Reserve Team in a Friendly match at the Don Bosco Ground in Panjim on Thursday (April 10, 2014).
In the first half, AIFF U-19 Boys who form the core of the Indian National Team scored through Issac Vanmalsawma, Summet Passi and Naro Hari, while Sporting’s Senior Team regular Beevan d’Mello pulled a goal back for the Flaming Oranje XI just before the interval.
The U-19 Boys led 3-1 at the interval.
The Academy Boys had an opportunity to add to their lead in the second session through a penalty, but the Sporting Goa custodian Sourav Chakraborthy pulled off a double save to prevent the spot kick.
Midway through the half, Daniel L. netted the fourth for Colm Joseph Toal’s Team to seal victory what was a comprehensive victory for the Boys in Blue.
