NEW DELHI: Fresh from their successful away sojourn against Mumbai FC and PIFA Sports respectively, All India Football Federation’s Navi Mumbai Regional Academy will be looking to maintain their incredible winning run when they take on Kenkre Sports Club U-19 Team in a round 7 match of the U-19 I-League at the Father Agnel’s Ground on Tuesday (February 24, 2014).

The Academy Boys, who have made it to the Final Round of the U-19 League, have not dropped a single point in their previous six outings and Coach Sajid Dar is proud of what his colts have achieved.

All the players have played their hearts out. I am really happy with their attitude towards the matches and how they stuck to the philosophy at the same time always maintained an upper hand over opponents,” Dar told www.the-aiff.com.

There will be fresh faces in the next couple of matches against Kenkre and Pune FC respectively.

“We will rotate the Squad and give some of the reserve players a chance. At the same time we cannot sit back and relax as for us every game is part of the Curriculum, part of the development,” Dar said.

The Colts in Blue were the first team to qualify for the Final Round to be held in Jamshedpur.

The Academy Boys trounced PIFA Colaba FC 4-0 to book their berth with two matches in hand.

The win, the sixth on the trot, also made the AIFF Academy the only Team in the Competition across all qualifying zones with an all-win record. This is the first time the AIFF Academy is competing in the U-19 I-League.

Match starts 3:30 PM
