NEW DELHI: The Junior National Football Championship for Girls kicked off at the Barabati Stadium in Orissa on Wednesday (November 20, 2013).

The Tournament, played between 27 Teams who are divided into seven clusters with seven qualifying for the Quarter Final Round, started off with Orissa thrashing Himachal Pradesh 15-0 and Meghalaya scoring 24 goals past Uttarakhand. Tripura also pumped in 18 goals against Rajasthan while Manipur scored half a dozen against Haryana.

Delhi mauled Gujarat 17-0 and Chhattisgarh played out a 1-1 draw against Kerala. Punjab were humbled by Nagaland 0-14 and Jharkhand scored 19-0 against Arunachal Pradesh.

On the second day, West Bengal handed Chandigarh a 5-0 defeat while Maharashtra edged Mizoram 2-1.

Goa and Bihar played out a 2-2 draw while Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh won by identical 5-0 scoreline against Assam and Madhya Pradesh respectively.
