NEW DELHI: Mohun Bagan have roped in Pierre Boya as their Marquee Player ahead of the 2014-15 I-League season, a club statement has confirmed.

The Cameroon International who has enjoyed stints at different European leagues the most highlighted being his stay at Serbian heavyweights Partizan Belgrade, signed on the dotted line for the Mariners from FC Kukesi in the Albanian Superliga.

Boya has played for Partizan in the Serbian Superliga over two seasons between 2003 and 2007, and 2010 and 2011. He also represented the outfit in the 2004/05 UEFA Cup group stages, and also scored both goals for the Steamrollers to clinch a 2-2 away result against Serie A’s Lazio.

It was also during Boya’s second stint with Partizan in 2010 on a one and a half year deal that the Serbian club qualified for the 2010–11 UEFA Champions League.

Internationally, he has represented ‘The Indomitable Lions’ on four occasions between 2005 and 2007, also having a goal to his name.
