BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Police will look to maintain their winning streak when they take on ARA FC, a side yet to bag points in the fifth edition of the Hero Indian Women’s League.
Ahead of the crucial game, Odisha Police head coach Shradhanjali Samantaray seemed quite confident and said, “After the win from the last match the team is confident and we will try to keep up with that performance”.
She further added, “ARA is a very good team but we will play our style of game against them”
Quizzed about her team’s gameplan while facing Ara, Samantaray said, “We will compact our defensive third, and eventually we will build up to progress to the final third to score goals”.Odisha has a few small injuries but the head coach is hopeful of “overcoming” them.
"We are looking at this game to bounce back and give our best,” said ARA FC head coach Vivek Nagul while asked about his take on facing Odisha Police.
He further said, “We had two tough games back to back and have worked on the areas where need to improve”
Nagul quipped, “We don't underestimate any team as on the given day the team with more determination and hunger gets the advantage. But watching their previous two games we think we can get an edge over them.”
When asked about his team’s injury concern Nagul said, “Fortunately all players are fit and fine”The ARA FC gaffer is hopeful to do better as he said, "We have worked on the defense and can do better attacking in this game”.
Odisha Police is all set to face ARA FC tomorrow (24th April 2022), at 15:30 pm (IST) at the 7th Battalion stadium, Bhubaneswar.
