NEW DELHI: The AIFF Elite Academy defeated DSK Shivajians U-18 2-1 in the U-18 I-League today (April 30, 2017) at the Barasat Stadium in Kolkata.

The AIFF Elite Academy coming on the back of a 4-1 win against Minerva FC conceded an early goal as in the 12^th minute opponents DSK Shivajians took the lead.

The Colts tried to press for the equalizer and in the 43^rd minute Namgyal’s effort from the freekick hit the woodwork and went out.

Changing over, the Colts hit the crossbar again in the 56^th minute when Tluanga’s shot from inside the box rattled the woodwork. However in the 74^th minute the Colts were awarded a penalty and Tluanga scored to level proceedings. In the 83rd minute, Minga latched on an Edmund cross and scored to give the Colts a solitary goal lead as the scoreline read 2-1.

The full-time scoreline read the same as the AIFF Colts registered their second win on the League. The Colts have six points in the U-18 I-League out of two matches played and face JSW Bengaluru FC next.
