New Delhi: AIFF U-16 team start the Goa Super Cup Elite tournament with flying colours as they took Ozone FC by storm in the opener at the Cuncolim Ground in Goa today (May 11, 2017).

Bekey (2'), Rohit Danu (62'), Givson (81'), Harpreet (89') scored for the AIFF U-16 team and they were aided by an own goal from an Ozone FC defender in the 32nd minute. Manivaanan (53') scored the only consolation goal for the Bengaluru-based team.

Within two minutes of kick-off, Vikram unleashed a defense-splitting pass to Bekey who converted it perfectly to give AIFF U-16 team an early lead.

After the half-hour mark, Sailo's freekick was mistakenly headed to the back of the net by an Ozone FC defender to double the lead in AIFF U-16 team's  favour.

After the changeover, AIFF boys showed real urgency to extend the scoreline. But, much to their dismay, Maanivaanan halved the gap between the two teams from point-blank range.

Rohit Danu joined the party in the 72nd minute when Bekey got the assist to his name. After the 80-minute mark, it was the AIFF boys all over the ground at the top of their game.

Givson put in another goal nine minutes to the end of the regulation time and eight minutes later, Harpreet netted the fifth goal for the AIFF U-16 team to complete the routing.
