AIFF Elite Academy play SESA Goa on first day

NEW DELHI: The next batch of I-League aspirants will slog it out when the seventh edition of the U-19 I-League kick-starts tomorrow with AIFF U-19 Elite Academy taking on SESA Academy at the Chowgule Sports Complex in Goa.

In the other two matches of the day, United SC entertain Mohun Bagan at the picturesque Kalyani Stadium in West Bengal while Pune FC renew their rivalry with Mumbai FC in the Maharashtra Derby.

Fourteen teams have been divided into three zonal groups comprising Goa, Maharashtra and Kolkata with Kolkata sheltering four teams and the rest five each.

Tata Football Academy are the defending champions and will be placed in the Rest of India Group zone along with I-League champions Bengaluru FC and newly inducted outfit Bharat FC among others.

Top two teams from each of the three zonal groups will make it to the Final Round.

Teams which will make their debuts in U-19 League will be DSK Shivajians, Chanmari FC, LoneStar Kashmir FC and Bharat FC.
