NEW DELHI: On the surface it was always a mismatch. But as part of the Curriculum, AIFF Elite Academy boys played a Friendly match with current Airtel I-League Leaders Bengaluru FC in Bangalore on Tuesday (February 11).

Development of the Players and gaining experience is what AIFF Academies stress on and it was a learning curve for the Academy boys.

“We have not played against a Team as physically strong as Bengaluru FC, the current Airtel I-League leaders. It was an eye-opener for our boys who got a close look as to what is required to be an I-League Player,” Colm Joseph Toal, Head Coach Youth Development told www.the-aiff.com.

Bengaluru FC who played all their four foreign recruits rode on India National Team Striker Robin Singh’s hat-trick to win 4-0. Besides, Karan Sawhney scored the other.
