AFC ONE GOAL Round Table Discussion ends on high

NEW DELHI: The Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) ONE GOAL Round Table discussion on Nutrition and Football wrapped up two days of conversations at the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Football House in Dwarka, New Delhi (May 29, 2014).

The second day of the Round Table kicked off with a presentation on the AIFF Grassroots programme by AIFF Development Manager, Suvrat Thatte.  The rest of the day included working groups focused on impactful and quantifiable initiatives which can be created as part of the ONE GOAL India campaign and key events and projects which can be leveraged as delivery mechanisms.  

The workshop concluded with a message from Airtel I-League CEO, Sunando Dhar.

He said: “I sincerely hope that ONE GOAL with all its endeavours can work with AIFF and I-League to find a platform to further propagate its values in the Indian Football scenario.

“Nutrition is such an important part of competitive sport today. I am sure the findings from this two-day meet will take the right course and help the Indian Football go in the right direction.”

Besides AIFF, the other organisations who took part included the likes of Ashoka Group, Asian Football Development Project, Back 2 Fitness, British Council, DSM, FICCI, Football Link, GAIN, GH Advocates, Libero Sports, Magic Bus, and World Vision India.

ONE GOAL is AFC's flagship social responsibility initiative which aspires to be a simple, powerful campaign which will mobilise and inspire the community of over 1.4 billion Asian Football fans to take action for better Child nutrition.
