NEW DELHI: The AIFF and FIFA have shortlisted eight Indian candidates for the domestic qualification of the FIFAe World Cup of Football Manager.
Entries had come in from 28 candidates, out of which the eight best were selected on the basis of their in-game record and achievements in Football Manager 2024.
An in-game player draft will be held online for the eight Football Manager candidates on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 4 pm IST, as part of their respective squad selection process. The domestic qualification for the FIFAe World Cup of Football Manager will be held in a round-robin basis, where the participants face each other once each.
Two candidates will be selected as the manager and assistant manager to represent India at the FIFAe World Cup of Football Manager 2024, to be held in Liverpool from August 29 to September 1.
Following are the eight candidates who have been selected for the domestic qualifiers – Sarthak Mondal, Aadit Mehta, Suryavamsi Dandamudi, Tirthadeep Roy, Aravind, Nirjhar Mitra, Suprateek Baksi, and Pratyush Pathak.
