NEW DELHI: The Football Association of Odisha celebrated AFC Women’s Day (March 8, 2015), with merry proceedings and full vigor.

On a day when “Respect Women” was the adopted slogan by the Odisha FA, 50 Women indulged in massive Football festivities at the Satyabrata Stadium, Cuttack.

Conducted by Ms. Gitanajali Khuntia, the festivities witnessed the 50 participate in small sided Games of 3 versus 3, 5 versus 5 and 7 versus 7. Competitions such as Penalty-shootouts and juggling with the ball were highlights of this grand scale event.

The day also witnessed an interactive seminar regarding Women Empowerment and a flurry of ideas were exchanged, discussed and dissected in the proceedings.
